Amazon dropped the already discounted price of $599 down to $549 a few hours ago. Seems like a good deal for anyone who thought 64GB was too little storage.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

64gb isn't much after the OS takes 16gb, or more with updates. If you sync photos, texts, emails, plus stream and play only a handful of games, there isn't mich left on a 64gb anymore.
The new iPad Air M2 base version is similar price and comes with 128GB, landscape Facetime cam and other features… unless you absolutely need this iPad's for the extra storage.
Dude, COD Mobile alone can be anywhere from 4-10GB alone.

64GB is miserly and such a pitiful capacity is completely unacceptable in 2024.

This is a constant struggle with my tech illiterate family members. They can't understand how to manage their storage. They end up never updating the OS because there's no more room to download the update. Put your media in the cloud or on an external disk!
Or, hear me out here, don't buy devices with an inappropriately low storage capacity like 64GB.

Wouldn't matter how much they had. Eventually it would be full and they can't manage.

My iPhone 12 256gb has about 114gb of photos and videos spanning 4 different iPhones over the span of close to 10 years. And technically atleast tripple that I uploaded to my pc as a backup. Most people prefer to keep memories of things in their life on their phone rather than video games. And because I don't use iCloud for photos, I don't have to deal with the current iOS glitch on the latest iOS update where old deleted photos reappear. I prefer locally controlled photos and videos rather than cloud.

That's a different thing, you're one of the very few people who keep photos locally.

I think what your missing is, lots of people store their photos of their kids and family on their iPad and especially videos. Also I know several people who have YouTube's pro account and they pre download tons and tons of YouTube videos for their kids to watch on road trips. I know several people with families who do this and I can attest 64gb is a constant game of deleting and downloading over and over again. Having 2-3x the storage is a big deal

It's other way, if you are commiting for 64gb means you know what you are.

There is a better deal for iPad Pro today at BJs. iPad Pro 11 inch 256GB M2 for $650. I think that is a much better offer than this. I just ordered one.

Amazing how this iPad has held its value over the years.

Especially since was universally panned when it was released as being too expensive for an iPad and not as feature rich as the iPad Pro M1 11" which could be had for a couple hundred dollars more.

When I traded my iPad Air M1 for the iPad M2 Pro, I received about $550+ in credit.

Good price for the 256gb, not a major difference between chips. iPadOS can only do so much anyways lol M1 is perfectly fine

No. 64gb is meant for $250-320 price point.

For over $500, you should demand 128gb-256gb for premium price

except the 64gb model is only 400$... is an extra 150 worth more storage. depends now what you do, but a lot of people dont really mind 64gb on an iPad, its not even an iPhone

I can live with the camera at the top so for $100 more yeah that's way better.

I will always recommend going a size up because it's very bad for your ssd if you fill it up to near 100%.

Ssd size is very much about speed than it is about actual storage. If you've ever ran speed tests on a flash drive, a near empty drive will have a much faster read & write speed than a drive that's 80%+ full. A small drive means slower speeds.
