Will this get lower as the new model comes out or is this the best price we'll get outside of catching a YMMV clearance?

Absolutely will go lower once officially out. I'm in the market for one but will wait probably around Prime Day.

I scrolled through deals from last year around the same time, and I didn't see any much better deals than $450. But I may have missed some posts.

That's correct. This is a new low because the price has stayed stubbornly high since its release in 2022. But that's about to change after March when new one is released.
