Too heavy. For domestic flights it is okay but for international flights weight matters a lot. For domestic flights I use Sams Club carry-on. Best value.

I have to say the Members Mark carry on is a steal. Get the set for about $130 and you are covered. It seems much better quality than my $100 Ricardo set from a few years prior as well as my older Samsonite hardside. Not going to compete with Tumi or Briggs and Riley but then again it is 10% of the cost.

Looks great, but most of these trendy carry ons are just too heavy. I'm a big fan of the samsonite freeform at 6.5 lbs. Solid build quality.

Nomatic stuff looks pretty nice, however I've found that a lot of their fancy pockets and features tend to be a bit gimmicky. Those gimmicks also lead to pretty heavy weight too, as others here have mentioned too. Their stuff is generally priced a bit above their competitors (Peak Design, Aer, etc) and this is no different; even with $75 off it's not worth it IMO.

For carry-on you can get away with a cheaper one, since it takes nowhere near the abuse a checked piece receives. As mentioned by others, weight is important.
