Will this stop my cat from taking a dump outside his litter box? Also, has anyone found a fine-toothed scooper? I feel like you need 2 scoopers, one normal scooper to get the big stuff and then one with very narrow teeth to get the smaller micro clumps.

This brand is the worse I've ever tried. Don't get lulled in by low price. It tracks EVERYWHERE and will make cleanup a daily annoyance in any room your cat goes.

I'm with you, I think it also depends on litter. There is always some tiny stuff left behind that's annoying and I know will cause smells no matter which litter you buy.

This setup [popsugar.com] has worked wonder for us to contain the smell and to stop the cats from tracking litter everywhere. Instead of a carpet, we use a disposable"pee pad" that we change every week.

Did you try the regular Fresh Step or the Fresh Step Clean Paws? The regular Fresh Step is awful but the Clean Paws doesn't track nearly as much as the other brands I've tried.
