Other retailers do seem to sell it closer to the $99 MSRP. Maybe Amazon is trying to price match it from Costco. There it looks to have a different part number with matching specs.

The life time warranty does not include battery and damages caused by batteries. I'm guessing life of these batteries are 4-5 years before needs replacement?
