there are a lot of clearance deals on makita stuff, it's all the junk that has been laying around for years. the batteries in some of these kits are approaching their EOL. i recently got a self propelled makita lawnmover (that came with 4 batteries) for $150. i was also able to claim the free leaf blower rebate on it. also got a 36V 7" saw for $200, along with a free angle grinder via rebate
in both cases, the tools had 2021 manufacture dates. batteries already degrading in the saw and lawnmover kits. they only charge to about 19.2-19.5V. they should charge to around 20.5V
are these amazing deals? yes. but there is a reason they are being cleared out
Every store according to brick seed that has it listed as clearance is out of stock. All stores regular price is in stock. I'm talking almost 20 stores around me. Sounds like an old deal or not correct information.

the inventory is not always up to date. my store said the clearance lawnmovers i bought were out of stock too, but i found two of them. no idea how they missed these. they are massive boxes.
having said that, if you're not already in the store anyway, making a trip for this is a waste of time. i always check the clearance section when i'm there. found some crazy steals in the past
Brickseek never works for me anymore. I Sign in and then it jus says no valid zip code but there is no spot to put a zip code anymore. What am I doing wrong?

It's an item thwt had been on clearance for many months. Most of these sold before the price even dropped this low. This is a ludicrous deal right here when you factor in the rebate. I'm sure there are a few left high in the overhead here and there at a few stores around. Appreciate the OP bringing it back to light so these last few can be found

That may well be true for the LXT stuff being cleared out, but I have not found that to be true for the XGT pickups I have made. 2 items both with early 2023 date codes...

You need to click on your profile icon in the upper right corner and add the zip code for your profile. You will no longer be asked for your zip code on the main page.

Thank you. I can now use brickseek again. I definitely like the old way more but it is wat it is. Faster for checking different areas especially for deals like this 1. Although I already have the flexvolt equivalent it's hard to pass up this good of a price if I can find it lol

4 batteries is the 20volt?
This is 40 volt which is different and does not apply to what you're saying

Does makita battery warranty start at the date of purchase tho? If you register your dewalt batteries (for example) they go buy the purchase date, if you don't register them they go by manufacture date

U must be new here. And must not have any XGT tools. Batteries charge perfect and makita batteries last 10 yrs. Smh

Yes if u have the receipt. Makita batteries are known to be most long lasting and resilient. Many such cases of them lasting 10 yrs

The Japanese don't mess around with their battery tech. Even if china made, their QC and quality control is top notch. I started replacing my Milwaukee with XGT as a result.
