Costco has a $350 savings decent deal on this 14" Touchscreen 2-in-1 Windows 11 Intel 13 gen i5 laptop.. The soldered 16GB Ram is the downside but overall for a price below $500, it is a decent one for college, home/general users, backup & travel laptop usage etc.
For Costco members, you get a 2% additional savings of $9 during checkout.

My personal opinion: the processor is more important than the slightly higher resolution for the sake of productivity. I'm partial to HP laptops as well.
I think the HP is the better computer, you just have to decide if it's worth the $150 + Costco benefits.
I plan on trying to see this in store on Tuesday, hoping they have them.

Hearing this actually makes me lean more towards this deal though 😂
Costco extends the warranty, and it's the cheapest of the laptops I've looked at. Knowing I'll get at least two years covered out of it at this price, is at least a little reassuring.
An incoming college freshman…so 18-19? And you think no gaming? C'mon dad. Get the boy a mid tier gaming laptop and call it a day. It'll have plenty of power and then that little extra, so even the small tasks won't be tedious. Cuz all work and no play…
