Can anyone give feedback on their experience using a French Canadian keyboard? Seems like a great deal with the exact specs I'm looking for (ie 16", 32GB/1TB, M2 Max). Only thing is, I've never used a French Canadian keyboard before. I'll be using my wireless Keychron when setup at my desk, but I also do plan on using the built in keyboard quite heavily when I'm on the couch or on the go…

The second picture shows the keyboard layout. Most of the keys are in the same spot but it would definitely slow your efficiency way down if you had to do any extended typing on it. If you're not using almost exclusively in a dock I don't think I'd go for it. I'd rather wait a couple/few months for the normal English version to go on sale.

I think we're looking for the same laptop - this deal is crazy considering it's 2499 @ Microcenter and I was strongly considering getting that.
Sucks it's a French keyboard - I have an extra bluetooth Magic Keyboard and was thinking about just using that but I imagine that would get old quick. I'm also thinking you could just get used to it...

Yeah this is a crazy deal, I actually plug into a docking station 90% of the time so I'm strongly considering this
How difficult is it to change just the keycap and set the keyboard to us
I would def just change the keyboard to us in the settings and use my muscle memory
It's possible to swap the entire keyboard out for a US one but it's a lengthy job as the whole logic board, batteries, etc has to come out in order to access the keyboard membrane.for context the keyboard is like one of the first things installed during assembly and all layers of other components come after it so yea it's not easy but it's possible.

You can just swap out the keys. Won't solve the problem with left shit and return key though.
Here's a thread with a German MacBook. Lots of discussions.

I bit. Let's see if it's worth the headache
Yea the only way to solve this is to swap the entire keyboard with a US edition one. That's what I was describing, swapping the key caps won't remap the keyboard.

The idea is to switch settings to uk English, change the key caps of what you can, and remap whatever else.
