This whole thing about needing to buy more than one cheap version is not my experience. Granted not for lots of years, but for 3 years I have had a much cheaper case designed similarly and it has lasted just fine, it is a little smaller. I have done the same with a case for my GPS, cheap one has lasted years and years.

I've got a couple of Thule items, they're super high quality. They just feel better than anything else. Expensive, definitely, but the quality difference is noticeable.

Just arrived! I have to say it's rather nice. Also fits Bose QC 35s perfectly, with room for a GaN adapter and some cables, so I may use it for that. The only cheapish looking bit is the print THULE logo.
