I have bought a few of these and it usually goes like this
onboard graphics = 180W PSU
1660s / ti would have a 310W
the 3060TI will have a 350 or 400W

The 400W can be found on ebay [ebay.com] all the time for $60 or so

These also have 2 available sata HDD slots.
and they take up to 32gigs of ram.

a Smaller 2 fan 4060 will fit/work with the 400w psu

Fantastic deals if the warranty is good. Even the 1660S is perfectly great for current AAA titles at 1080p

The $299 unit is absolutely not worth it. The 3060Ti is TWICE as fast as the 1660 Super, and you get access to DLSS among other things.
The 11400 is also up to 30% faster than the 5300g.

For $100 more the 11400+3060Ti builds are by far the better buys.

Sounds too good to be true. Is there a catch? Parts that can't be swapped out, etc.?

Without my even needing to verify it, I already know that it's going to have a propriety power supply, making it more difficult to add a better video card.

However, just because I already know the answer doesn't mean that I can't also Google proof of what I'm saying. Here it is:

These towers don't use standard ATX format boards, but instead "Erica#" boards, which use a proprietary HP power supply unit.

This means that they're usually speccd for the systems exact needs, and upgrading to a more powerful gpu, cpu etc would require a bigger PSU (If there's even one that exists!)

That said, the GPU, CPU, RAM, SSD is all harvestable if you were to move into a different board etc down the road, or try and sell off parts when you're done.

AND THEN that's said that the $400 one on paper is mostly good, except you'd need to spend probably $50-80 more to get at least 8 more gb of ram and a 512gb-1tb ssd as that 256 won't be enough for a gamer most times.

Not a bad deal, not a great deal

Assuming a normal form factor, you can generally find a plug adapter on Amazon or eBay to connect a standard ATX power supply to almost any proprietary motherboard, including those from HP, Dell and Lenovo.

What is the power supply? How come they don't tell anything about it. Is it 250 watt, or 350 watt or 500 watt. They give NO Info at all! When I see a graphics card in PC, I believe we all want to know that is the POWER SUPPLY.

I see this in specs on that page:
Interface & Ports
USBFront: 1 x SuperSpeed USB Type-C 5Gbps signaling rate 2 x uperSpeed USB Type-A 10Gbps signaling rate 2 x SuperSpeed USB Type-A 5Gbps signaling rate Rear: 4 x USB 2.0 Type-A

Audio Port1 x headphone/microphone combo 1 x audio-in; 1 audio-out
KeyboardWired keyboard
MouseMouse Combo
Power & Battery
Power Supply .... nothing listed at all!

Nice prices per the specs, but the problem with these types of units is the proprietary components. When something fails, and/or you want to upgrade/expand the system, you pretty much have little room for maneuver.

I like to build mine, but my teenage son has been wanting a gaming PC of his own and has earned a little money toward that. I suggested this to him as an adequate entry level purchase, and he went for it.

These pre-builts are no good for customization or upgrades, but with a two year warranty this is a great deal for some entry-level PC gaming at approximately the price of a new game console.

This is junk. If your budget is in this range then just buy a PS5.
But then you'd be stuck with a console instead of a PC.
