This is a good shovel in terms of build quality, great pricing, and fiskars stands behind their product. During the height of Covid we were doing yard work and removing a bunch of landscape timbers, fenceposts, etc. I was working but fiancée was told to stay home and decided she would "help" with some of the debris removal and from what I could see from our ring cameras, started jumping on the handle to try and lift/loosen a piece of concrete surrounding a post out of the ground. Handle split in two right above the weld (impressive feat given the build quality, and clearly abuse of the product beyond it's design) so I didn't expect it to get covered by their warranty, but sent pictures and detailed the scenario and they had a new one at my door within a week. Maybe they took pity and got a laugh out of the situation, maybe their warranty is that good, but I've been a fan ever since.
Not really. The handle is very long and wide and steel is unforgiving on your hands. For serious, deep grave digging a short, wood handled shovel will be easier on your hands and won't hit the walls as you dig down. This is great for shallow graves. It's super sturdy.
You ever try digging with a transfer shovel or a snow shovel?

Is this good for digging a 6 foot deep hole that's about 7 or 8 feet long?

This is a good shovel and good deal. I bought it for like 3 bucks more off a deal here and I've abused the heck out of it. Smashing through roots and hitting rocks etc…

Yes, there are loading shovels (think coal) and trenching shoves (shaped for small trenches)
