Slotted bits are generally not used with impact drivers.

Very easy to cam out, strip the screw head, or bust the bit entirely.

It's fine to include a few and use a driver on non-impact mode to assemble furniture for example, but they would never wear out so why include more.

If anyone is wondering about this set. This is amazing quality. I've been using this kit for last 2 years almost every other day. Case was get flying down from 10ft to the concrete a lot of time, no damage, no single bit damaged so far!!!

These bits are great. Super strong and durable, tight fitting with a nice case. Can't beat it for $20. Seriously so much nicer than other sets at this price.

For the guy who was asking, drills are for making holes and impact drivers are for turning fasteners. You can get away with doing both tasks with a single tool but it's a pain when you need to constantly change bits.

Impact wrenches are just stronger drivers (measured in ft/lb instead of in/lb) useful for turning bolts in automotive/mechanical work.

Bought this set on Black Friday at Home Depot and it's one of my favorite sets. The machining on the bits and metal quality is all top notch.

I have random bit sets from just about every major name out there, and these are some of my favorites. Nothing scientific to back that up, but I notice that I grab the Makitas more often than others and I don't find myself throwing them out due to wear nearly as often as others.

I've had my set for a while now and put it through it's paces. The bits are all very tough and bite nicely with minimal slippage, but the flat heads are a different story. Just like other impact rated sets, the flatheads shatter under minimal pressure. I don't know why this is common with impact rated bits, but this set is no different. The cheap non impact rated will bend but not shatter.
I was removing flathead aluminum screws with these and shattered two removing 5 screws. The cheap non impact craftsman bit set lasted about 20 screws before it was too bent to use.
