Ebikes coming into the USA from China are going to be slapped with a 25% tariff after June 14 it seems:

From my limited research...

Reddit says stay away from this company if you want long term support.

YouTube reviews (paid/incentivized) says great bike for the price.

SD commenters are more interested in teaching Global Macroeconomics 101.

I can't see any reason to spend this much on something that can very well become paperweight after about a year of usage. Which is a shame. I would've liked to have gotten a "Slickdeal".
Geez y'all... Can we talk about the bike instead?

So I bought two of the Austin for $519 for my kids back then. I'm thinking of getting this for myself. They've put over 200 miles on it since and no issues (got 2 flats but thats on my kids).

This one is couple hundred more..but it does have 750w motor/52V 13AH battery vs. 500w/48V 14AH battery on the Austin.

All else seems to be similar--20x3 fat tire, mechanical brakes (ugh), top speed, weight, etc.

Not sure if its worth the $200 if I'm only getting the bigger motor. If they had upgraded the brakes to hydraulics, then maybe its a consideration. But I'll hold off until a better deal comes around...

Was going to ask about parts availability after purchase to keep the bike going long-term, but then I realized they don't support us "big boned" people.. max weight 264 lb

The Engwe EP-2 that is often ~$650 seems like the better deal.

Just bought one, the $100 off plus free shipping and no tax make it a really nice deal plus reviews have been great for this 52volt e-bike!

EP-2 is 48 volt older design with less torque.

Yea I didn't hear about this till now but have been waiting for buying an e-Bike ideally foldable. Makes it a good proposition to buy one now rather than wait till later

I am intrigued though. Haven't seen much discussion on the ebike itself but is it a good deal compared to the $520 Austin eBike? I missed out on that one but really hoping to get something similar

Been wanting an ebike for a while now, especially after the Amazon fiasco. Sucks about the tariff, first I've heard of that ugh

68 lbs foldable bike, why even make it foldable, that is a lot of weight to handle even in a smaller form factor. I would suggest getting a non-fat tire e-bike instead, saves in overall weight and longer range due to better rolling efficiency.

Pretty sure this is the same thing as the Senada Austin I got a few months back for ~$500. I've already put 120 miles on it, no regrets at all.
