I found their dark roast to be pretty bland and watery — I'm far from a snob, my everday brands are mostly Gevalia, occasionally Starbucks or Seattle's Best. This was a lot closer to Maxwell House or Folgers in flavor. $0.02

I went in on a bag from Amazon recently and hadn't paid attention that these are 10oz and not 12oz. Super tiny bag, but easy to find a thimble to store them in. Their decaf was alright.

$5 coffee on sale for $5? Some reviews seem to indicate it's nothing special.

Buying coffee 10oz at a time is absurd. No damn coffee bean "freshness" taste is that noticeable. Talk about shrinkflation, I remember when the "local roastery" was 16 oz or 12oz.

Source, from Portland, grew up with coffee as an organic (the word not the branding/marketing b.s.) collectively expanding bunch of passionistas. Those awesome folks on the west coast fixed a bunch of messed up stuff with the state of the "coffee" industry. Unfortunately, they've now been either absorbed into the Borg or think they have a right to sell you overpriced beans because they outsource their label design to the lowest bidder on some euphemistically-named gun for hire site...that will soon dissipate with AI's entry center stage.

TLDR; overpriced mediocrity, however it's branded, should still be called out. 10 f'n oz. eff off.

I got in on a SD deal on this several weeks ago, only it was about $3.50 then with a coupon. It's no big deal, making it very overpriced at it's regular price. I prefer the Starbucks or Lavazza deals.

Couple of years ago, tried this and had virtually no crema shots, beans tasted baggy and thin...expired coffee. No roast date. Contacted Kicking Horse and inquired why they have no roast date, and was assured since they use nitrogen when bagging, beans are fresh, and were apologetic. Nitrogen or not is no excuse for not dating the roast. I suppose they just don't care about coffee enthusiasts, so I'm not their demographic.
