Metro by T-Mobile is now selling the 2024 version of the Moto G Stylus 5G smart phone, which was just released today. The phone is either free if you port in your number from a non-T-Mobile carrier, or $29.99 for a new number. To get the full discount on the phone requires the selection of the Metro Flex Plus $70/mo with AutoPay Plan $75 for the first month. Shipping is free. Subtotal will be $75 if you are porting in a number or $104.99 if you choose New number.
This phone is slightly upgrade from the 2023 model. Change include:
6.7" pOLED display 120Hz
8 GB RAM
Better cameras
The processor is the same Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 as the 2023 model.
Caramel Latte color.
Firefox gave me an error when trying to add it to my cart, but I could add it when using Chrome.
Starting on 5/8/2024 Metro by T-Mobile phones unlock 365 days after the activation date. Previously phones would unlock even if only 1 month of service was paid for.

If someone needs a phone to work on other networks perhaps they just have to wait for a deal from Total by Verizon or Cricket (AT&T) and others.
I'd be interested in a cheap iPhone deal too, but to answer your question: No, I don't plan on posting about a bunch of other Metro phones unless I'm interested in them.

The moto G Stylus 5G 2024 is definitely 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM. This is not the unlocked 256GB version with a MSRP of $400. It would be really nice if they updated the Qualcomm 6 step 1 and improved the software support.
I was also considering Samsung A35 and S23 FE but decided against them as I hate that Samsung tries to re-implement many/most Android features instead of just implements a few unique features.
I am planning an international trip and want to make sure that wifi calling is working so I can receive some verification SMSs. When I check my moto G Stylus 5G 2023 with RedPocket (T-Mobile) Sim, and navigate to Settings, mobile network, ..., Red Pocket, under Calling I only see Allow 2G/5G but NO WIFI CALLING. Without the option the wifi calling cannot be enabled. When I switched to a Metro Sim, the wifi calling option is back and can be enabled.
The problem was observed on moto G Stylus 5G 2023 but I assume that would also apply to 2024 phone. I also saw posts about the same problem on other carrier branded phones.
Some/most android phones with dual sims do not support wifi calling on one sim that relies on internet connection through the other sim.

I got one of these (stylus 2024) recently and am waiting for it to unlock after 1 year. Without wifi calling feature it would be a bad deal for me. Will definitely buy an unlocked phone the next time.

Give up on unlocking it and see if you can get a refund.

Just to be certain, I did a live chat with RP. He/She just need the phone number and E911 address but not IMEI so the Wifi enabling on the RP side is phone number specific and not phone specific. After two reboots, I still only see Allow 2G/5G options under the mobile network calling settings.
