FYI - Made by Cyber Power Systems.
UL listed as L-N, L-G, N-G: 500 VPR (Vpk)

In wall surge protectors just seems like a waste of money.... when the MOV (I assume they are MOV and not GDT?) are used up, you'll have to replace the outlet? Unless it continues to work w/o the surge protection.

It seems like a recipe for disaster. An MOV will often fail as a short, this is why it's very important to have a properly spec local fuse/circuit-breaker/etc integrated into the design. I've seen plenty of photo documentation of 'power strips' with MOVs which fail to a short. However, they often will not draw the full amperage of the panel circuit (e.g. 15 or 20A), so they continue to heat up and then eventually catch fire.
Also, do not let the "UL" listing fool you. It is listed for only being a plug receptacle, and NOT as a Type 3 SPD (aka surge protector).
There ARE proper Type 3 SPD wall plate devices which have a removable MOV/etc. section.
