- No precision pointing, just general location
- Location updates might be less frequent
- Shorter battery life (if the chip is badly designed)
- No alerts for unauthorized tracking (iOS 17.5 older)
Basically I use it for different things:
Apple AirTag for precision pointing to my keys/wallet.
Eufy SmartTrack hidden in my car for general parking area. The location updates and battery lasts the same as Airtags. The speaker's electrical contacts can be disabled with tape so a car thief cannot find it by sound, also no tracking alert for the thief

That's why for my car I went with 3rd party Eufy SmartTrack, the speaker electrical contacts are exposed when changing the battery, so disable it with insulating tape. No precision finding UWB chip, no beeping sound, no phone alerts = almost impossible for the car thief to find.
