I think that multiple Walgreens stores might be leaving from my area soon, it looks like they're going out of business. Many shelves are empty, while the few things they have are locked up.
Anyway, this is a clever way to promote a $10 limit half price sale and get you in the store. Half price brings their uniformly high prices down enough to make most stuff they sell worthwhile, if you have a need for anything there.
