FWIW, I purchased a kettle with virtually identical buttons/features in 2018 for $40. It was a Chinese manufacturer with the comical name AICOK. I have used it nearly every day, multiple times per day with no issues. Factor in inflation, etc and I still wouldn't think purchasing based off a brand name is worth it.

Purchased this exact kettle in 2017 for $35 and it's still going strong. I think there's a reason they haven't changed the design for almost 10 years.
