I got one of these the last time around and they are shockingly good for the price and size. Love 'em.

Big fan of the company and customer service. On 2 occasions I had to chat in to add items to an order. One was a free thing I won on the wheel and the other was a free bag that was sold out. They were not able to add them to my order but instead just ordered them to be sent to me at no cost. One other time I purchased a light I just didn't like and did the no-hassle return and it was just that, very simple and easy. They got me and now I jump on the bandwagon for all their special editions.

The freebie light here is great. I gave one to my daughter and she keeps it on her keychain. It's plenty bright and only about the size of a triple a battery. For $5 (the shipping fee) you won't be disappointed. Be warned though, you may be tempted to get more lights from them.

OK, but I don't consider more than triple the price to be "a little extra."

In any case, I've had one of the i3Es on my keychain for several years. It's plenty bright and has never failed me.
I wasn't trying to argue with you lol, good for you Big Grin

Not the point, the point was if you want to spend a little extra for a product that's about 10 times more reliable, on sale from 45 to 17 dollars, it could a great option
I have several of these and never had an issue with any of them, so I doubt the the Sofirn is "10 times" more reliable.

I'll mention it because someone else here told us about it but they also offer a rechargeable "free" light on occasion and I think its superior for the 2 lighting modes. But the ability to swap a aaa is also good. Regardless, this is a good light if you're still using a Maglite!

Always appreciated.

So it's technically $5 with shipping, not free, right?

Right. Plus sales tax if applicable. For me it cost $5.40

I'm a fan, will buy one each time it comes up. If it falls off my keychain I have a backup, and it's a great last minute gift.

I may grab one of these. I had an old minimal Fenix AAA keychain light similar to this that I found somewhat recently with a leaked Duracell in it - totally ruined/irredeemable. I think I'd prefer to use NIMH in AA/AAA lights moving forward - they essentially never fail in such a destructive way. Problem is, regular NIMH voltage is a little lower than alkaline, which some lights don't like.

For more serious lights, just go for 18650 lights, period - get a handful of good cells from a trusted/reliable source and they'll go a decade or more if not abused.

I was going to respond in a similar manner. I try to be helpful here, but it's exhausting reading/deciphering low-effort replies and questions - especially when the question was already asked & answered, or could be answered simply by taking 5 seconds to read the original post or details/specifications listed on the retailer's product page... so I can understand regulars 'lashing out' a little.
I would never use a Duracell Alkaline in anything I care about. It's to the point where I'm shocked when they DON'T leak all over. Even in sealed packages unused, years before expiration, several of them will leak. I take photos at times, just ridiculous. You can contact Duracell and make them replace/reimburse what they wrecked, but lately they are getting really nasty and difficult doing that, I think that department has to be super, super busy.

Back to the flashlight topic (but weaving in Duracell)- I'm almost entirely on Eneloops everywhere. Sometimes if I have Energizers or other non-Duracells around I'll use them up. Rechargeable AAAs work great in these flashlights.

Thanks! Adding the clip seems to be taking the shipping charge off. Not sure, what coupons/ discounts were getting applied, but it seemed to be cheaper for me without the coupon code - $2.52 otd

Great flashlights I bought a whole bunch of them over the years but I've had two of them go bad one of them doesn't turn on at all the other one just a very dim blue light comes on, they do come with a lifetime warranty does anybody have any experience with warranty do you have to pay shipping one or both ways ?
They've just replaced, usually without questions

I think by making an account (necessary to purchase) you are given a coupon (20% off and free shipping, or something like that). It wont apply to the light alone (free/sale item), but if you add the clip at regular price, then the order qualifies (coupon automatically applied).
