Looking for a gimble for my a7rv. How does this one hold up against the ronin rs 3 or 4?

I tested a few DJI gimbals last summer and found you probably are better off checking out it the newer models from Amazon warehouse deals to get yourself a bit of a price break. The new models have really desirable features and improvements. I ended liking the rs3 mini the most for my needs

Been using this one for over two years. If you only use smaller primes you will be okay. If you are trying to balance like a tamron 28-75 it will be uncomfortable. Also make sure you use ronin app as everything is manual here, no screen etc.

This is not a bad price for this gimbal, but the payload is not very high if you are running anything more than a mirrorless and a light prime lens. I would look at a second hand DJI RSC2 or RS2 if you want something with a higher payload and a larger feature set.

They make smartphone gimbals (DJI Osmo) as well which are really good and substantially cheaper.

you'll want to make sure whatever lens you're wanting to use with your body comes in under the payload. I watched several youtube videos of setup and feature breakdowns, and ended up just testing a few out. I liked the features on the RS3 mini and the size of it the best, before a trip last year... and I ended up taking the Osmo + Iphone instead of the "big rig" with my mirrorless DSLR (helicopter tour so interior space was very limited).
