Reviews are very negative when you don't look at those belonging to reviewers who got the product for free, especially on Target. Shame.

At the time of this comment OP's link goes to the "Ninja 12-in-1 Double Oven with FlexDoor" instead of the Ninja Hot & Iced XL Coffee Maker.

I've had this coffee maker for years, and I've had nothing but good experiences. Good taste, good controls, and good accessories. The person above said this gets tons of bad reviews, but I just read Kohl's and Amazon, and there weren't very many bad reviews and the biggest issue was with people struggling to clean the water reservoir. I just use dish soap and hot water, let it sit for a minute while I wipe other surfaces, and then drain and rinse. I got it on sale, because typical SDer, but aside from that no promotion or freebie.

Ok so I probably will get some stick but this does not make cappuccino or any of the varieties that's mentioned in the product features. Not even latte. If you like black then this may work but even with the frother the coffee doesn't come concentrated like in an actual espresso machine. To each his own but I have this and use it occasionally only to make black coffee and nothing else.

I have this, only complaints I have is that the hot plate does not work unless you make a half of full pot. Also, water builds up at bottom of the reservoir and it sometimes overflows when I put back the full water container. If anyone get this, make sure to move the lever on the drip stop after you are ready to pour so you don't have coffee dropping on the hot plate which can cause oxidation if not cleaned right away.

For reference: Amazon [amazon.com] & Target [target.com] and most retailers sell it for $129.99. Amazon has 4.6* reviews and Target at 4.5*

Got the CM401 and I love it easy to use, easy to clean. Quick and consistent cup of coffee.

Also own the CM401. Makes a good cup of coffee. Temp is excellent. Like the size options.

Gently moved the reservoir valve in the water tank a bit to allow draining each night. (There were reviews that algae could grow in there) Has not impacted brewing at all and bubble air dries when I drain it instead of it staying filled with water. I only use filtered water.

Have owned it for three months. Used the frother a couple times. Does not warm....( Use microwave for 10 seconds) but otherwise does what it's supposed to.

Dialing in brew strength is challenging for me mostly because I keep switching beans and roasters.

Overall I find a coarse grind best and choose the minimum suggested amounts of coffee for each size ( mostly but not always) otherwise will make mud.

Has a built in pause for about 20 seconds after it starts brewing to steep the beans.

Just purchased this today w/o a Kohl's card for $87.99 before taxes. I used SAVE20 to get 20% off, TAKE15 to get another $15 off, and I had a "free" $5 in Kohl's cash available (I say free because I haven't shopped at Kohl's in about 2 years, so I certainly didn't earn it).

I also earned $15 in Kohl's cash: $10 in standard earnings, plus another $5 for choosing to pick it up at my local Kohl's instead of having it shipped.
