I'd be willing to check this out. I joke that I wish I had a butler to bring me coffee in the morning, and this thing is small enough that I could literally put it on my bedside table.

Anyone have thoughts about the next model better, the mini with a "strong" button ($110)? It's not that I like my coffee like tar or anything, but a youtube guy mentioned that you get better coffee extraction with that option. I probably wouldn't go for it for that price, but I also don't want to waste $60 on underbrewed coffee.

This or nespresso vertuo delux? I brought nespresso machine from target on deal but it feels okay in terms of coffee. Also, that needs its own pods

I have a Nespresso vertuo. I've started only using it for flavored coffee "lattes" with added foamed milk when I want something fancier and sweet because I'm just really not into the aerated foam on top of my black coffee like Nespresso does. Just give me regular coffee when I want a cup of coffee.

I used to love Keurigs but the last few I have bought have been trash. Dead right after the warrantee expire. I guess if you get them cheap enough and the last a year it might be worth it. Though, my son's didn't last 6 months.

1. Keurig hardware is absolute junk. If you can make it to a year without issues you just lost the lottery because it will break in 13-15 months and you are out of warranty and out of luck

2. Pods are not super expensive but not super cheap either. We arent talking about Nespresso pods which are like 20-40 cents more per cup but somehow the Keurig pods, regardless of brand, come out weaker than the Nespresso ones and those are weak to begin with.

3. Stepping up to a better Keurig is like buying a top of the line Kia/Hyundai. Congrats you just dropped 50k on a trash car. It's the best of their trash line up, so at least u have the best of the worst.

4. Coffee taste - why spend money on a machine and pods when the coffee tastes like trash. Nespresso machine (doesnt matter how expensive) or Keurig machine (doesnt matter the cost) all produce dilluted tasting garbage coffee.

5. You are paying for convenience and nothing else - not taste, not cost, not waste production

Buy yourself a nice drip coffee machine with some middle of the road beans and see what you have been missing - drop a little more on higher quality beans and a good grinder and you will laugh when you see a Keurig

Any suggestions for a "a nice drip coffee machine"? Thanks.

Also consider a French press, aeropress or pour over. Good beans and a grinder (and I recommend measure/weigh water and coffee). You can get a great cup of coffee without buying an expensive machine. The above methods are also not difficult or require much effort so don't even get the convenience factor of keurig.

I use the aeropress when traveling too so I can avoid the keurig in the hotel/bnb.

Genuinely wondering why? I have this and like its small footprint and the fact it needs to be refilled every time you brew. So I don't worry about water going "bad" if it sits there for a long time.
