My in-laws have one of these and after 4-5 years problem after problem. Not worth the full price. Sale price might be okay if you don't mind the repair guy at your home frequently

Is this one of those models where you don't recommend it to your friends even with a sale price? Usually something about faulty compressors and/or ice makers

Not worth the risk even with warranty. Having a fridge or freezers worth of food go bad is expensive and disruptive

People only buy one LG product in their life...

They get so frustrated and disappointed, they never buy another one.

Any brand of fridge with icemaker on the door like this will inevitably have problem within a few years. It's not limited to LG brand. Solution: Disable the icemaker and get a separate icemaker, or buy refrigerators with icemaker inside the freezer.

LG had issue with compressors a few years back and got sued for it. Their newer fridges are fine.

That said, awesome deal!

I think thst is for most refrigerators. I don't go around making recommendations on fridges unless I have a lemon. In my case it's my Samsung. Ice maker went out over 3 years ago and the bottom compartment ices up and the handle keep coming lose. Still works but it's a hassle. $1100, including haul away and 5 year warrant. Fingers crossed this one is better but set up a July delivery date to give me a chance to read reviews to be confident this one works. I have had my Samsung for about 9 years

Keep in mind, if it's breaks, warranty repair will take at least a couple of weeks minimum(open claim, diag appointment, parts order, who knows if tech can fix it first time)

I have LG washer and dryer and have never had a problem. Not sure about the refrigerators though?.

There's no icemaker in the door on this model, it's located in the bottom freezer. No dispenser mechanism to fail.

You're right! Upon closer inspection, that dispenser on the door is only for water. That's even better!
