You will get $100-$150 on the iPads with Education price. iIf you must have 120hz then this will be a great buy but next week you would probably get M4 iPad Pro 11 at $749 (edu price $899 + $150 Apple gift card) or M2 iPad Air 11 at $449 (edu price $549 & $100 Apple gift card).

It seems BestBuy want to get rid of M2 iPad Pro before the Back to School starts next week. Wait for Back to School next week. You will get $100-$150 on the iPads with Education price. iIf you must have 120hz then this will be a great buy but next week you would probably get M4 iPad Pro 11 at $749 (edu price $899 + $150 Apple gift card) or M2 iPad Air 11 at $449 (edu price $549 & $100 Apple gift card).

How certain are you of that pricing? I bought this deal, because I don't see a large difference in the m2 and m4 capabilities, plus the new iPads require you to buy the pro pencil which is $50 more than the 2nd gen pencil as of right now. I do like the 120hz screen, but if the new air is that cheap I may return mine to buy that deal. At least this way I have one locked in and can return it if need be.

That's what I'm waiting for also. I wish I stocked up on Apple GC's during Citi's Cyber Monday deal. They were 20% off when using Citi points.

I always purchased apple products during the Back to School events and usually they offered $150 for iPad Pro and Macbook and $100 for iPad Air and Mac mini. A lot of people are waiting for that this year too, https://www.reddit.com/r/ipad/com...ool_promo/
Of course, they may have a different offer this year. And you are right, would need to purchase new Apple Pencil pro which is more expensive then Pencil 2. However, Apple Pencil 2 will soon be discontinued (maybe within 1-2 years) and if you decide to purchase new iPad next time then you would need to spend another $$ to buy new Apple Pencil Pro. But if you buy Apple Pencil Pro now, you won't need to purchase Apple Pencil anymore because new Apple Pencil Pro will work fine with new iPad for maybe next 5-7 years.

Idk. I get what you were basing past deal and trends but BBY isn't panicking to get rid of iPad that quickly for future sales.

BBY don't get the final says (Apple does and BBY has to get approved by them anyways) and like other retailers , they change inventory all the time and can easily sell them to small business for small loss.

BBY got $ to restructure it logistics thanks to Total Tech Membership and customers relying physical presence for service….something that Amazon lack of.

just a little bit of future proofing for storage, have a Pencil V2 that i can transfer over so no brainer 12.9 is too big for what i use it for outside of work

Yeah I had the pencil V2 already and keyboard folio.. I don't like the Magic Keyboard, too bulky for me.

As product ages, retailers get credits for remaining inventory (on certain SKUs, not everything) Essentially, their cost basis gets lowered. If it didn't, they couldn't afford to stay in business… they'd be losing hundreds on every sale. I was in consumer electronics management from 90s-2010s. It was a fairly common thing then, and I doubt it has changed since.

What condition? Was it in-store? I could only find an Open Box in Excellent Condition for $594 online.

the thing is.. there won't be anymore m2 in stock lmfao... apple isn't making more. so if you want the IPS version of the 11" bc of the pwm shit.. you get this. and air models are trash so just avoid.

I got BB to match the BJ deal for iPad Pro 11 M2 256GB for $649.99 just recently. Holding it unopen waiting to see what comes next week. If the deals are compelling, I might return it and get the new iPad Pro, but if not, I'll just keep this one. At that price it's a way better deal than the new iPad Air M2. Discontinuing Apple Pencil 2? Why would they do that? They haven't even discontinued the original Apple Pencil and at this point it likely only cost them a few dollars to manufacture. I'm seeing like new/open box Apple Pencil 2 for around $50-60(if there are cheaper ones let me know) and I don't want a keyboard the new pro is not a big upgrade to me. Biggest thing was the horizontal camera but I'm planning to get an ESR magnetic case so it's easy to flip if I want to video chat.
