It's rolling the dice, but I have returned 3 or 4 "final sale" items to a physical J. Crew store and they just do it like a normal return. I've never had one denied. I'm not saying it is policy and I wouldn't recommend counting on it, but worth a try if you inadvertently get stuck with something that doesn't fit. fwiw, I have found J. Crew sizing to be very consistent.

They don't have my size, but I got a ludlow suit a couple months ago. Probably spent closer to $350-$400 on sale, but it is the best an off the rack suit has looked on me.

Definitely recommend

I think it's a fair question. Buying suits with a no return policy is only a risk people who have the EXACT suit in a different color should take. If you are using a credit card benefit, it would be nice to know how it realistically work. If you have to ship it back but j crew does not give you a address to ship it back to because they won't accept the return, then that's a legitimate question.
