This is what is coming. During the day sometimes TV has ads only in Spanish. Called store to order cake, lady who answered said she doesnt know English in broken English and hung up, went to hardware store to clarify terms before placing a big order online and dude sitting at the desk over there just could not explain anything. I thought those coming into this country ought to learn this country's language i.e. English, not the other way around. We keep providing everything in Spanish to them probably even the oath during naturalization and then immigrants have no incentive to learn English.

We don't have a designated national language, although I would support it. In the meantime, I'm ambivalent when it comes to private companies. They shouldn't get to discriminate against protected classes, of course, but perhaps they should get to choose the language in which they conduct business?
