I can't speak to the quality of this specific set, just giving my 2 cents as someone who didn't expect much from a very similar set but was pleasantly surprised.

If you're just talking about the 1/2 inch "gap" between tiles, you're fine. If the surfaces themselves are textured or have peaks and dips (like a rock) it probably won't work great either. If your tiles are flat/non-textured, but they're just not aligned properly (so one tile sticks out 1/10 of an inch more than the one next to it) it might work.. I'd recommend "stacking" a couple adhesive strips to make both sides even though.
I bought one of these 3-4 years ago for a tiled bathroom and it worked great. Held up until I moved out, and probably wouldn't come off anytime soon.
I recently installed a new set on a fiberglass, fake-tiled shower and the hold isn't nearly as strong (one fell off right away)
Tips for applying it to a wall:
Scrub the wall of any dirt/residue. Something like Dawn Powerwash works great.
Fully dry the wall
Use an alcohol wipe (if you have it) to wipe down the surface again)
Fully dry the wall
Heat up the adhesive backing using a heat gun or hair dryer. Doesn't need to be "hot", but the warmth will help it stick better.
Attach the adhesive to the wall, and hold it in place for about 30-60 seconds with some force.
Let it sit for 24 hours, then add the shower caddy pieces to it, and fill them
For best results, keep the items towards the back side (nearest the wall) and not towards the front, as the front will attempt to peel the adhesive away from the wall
To remove: Use a heat gun/hair dryer on the adhesive strip again, get it nice and warm/hot and then use a scraper (or something like a guitar pick, ideally larger) to pry it away. If you just try to pull it off, it will likely leave residue everywhere and make a huge mess of it

Because of how such products are manufactured - there's probably a town in China ("town" in China = 4 million population) where all of these get made, it's a safe bet it's the same product and at $14 I wouldn't even worry about comparison shopping even if you don't use all of the pieces.
