Man, I wish there was ANYTHING on this TV - I was thinking of the 85U6N at Best Buy for $1400, but if I could find any reviews I might consider this instead.

EDIT - No local dimming. rtings is hypothesizing (they have NOT reviewed it) "Still, the 85" and 98" models have an impressive selection of features at a budget-friendly price and will likely be the cheapest ultra-large TVs on the market this year."

Have people who ordered a large TV before have it arrived undamaged. A few years ago I attempted to buy a 75" tv and each time it arrived damaged. The UPS driver noted that the front of the box looked like it had been punched and told me to decline the delivery. Almost seemed like some short of shipping insurance scam. After the third failed attempt I just cancelled and got one locally. Unless sent freight I would assume most of these would arrive damaged.

I ordered a 75" Sony from Best Buy a couple years ago and Best Buy employees delivered it to me, not UPS or FedEx.

yea 75 should always be freight, or best buy delivery drivers.

not ups, fedex, or usps.

thats just stupid.

This TV is the successor to last years TCL Q6 (Q650G https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...q650g-qled), which got rave reviews as a low cost gaming TV. It's main weakness for gaming was lack of true 4k/120hz support (it could do 1440p/120hz though), which seems to have been addressed in this model for the 85" and 100" versions..
