Found this on Amazon:
Once the unit runs out of battery during outage - it will shut down. I.e. after power comes back - it will stay turned off. You would need to press power button(s) on the unit to turn it back on. So it is not suitable for using as UPS say for furnace or sum pump - if you are away. But even my APC brand UPS for computer - once it runs out of battery during outage - will shot down and stays off. I would have to manually turn it on after power comes back.
