Check the Amazon reviews for pictures.
When they break, there are no way to replace the part.
Personally, I would buy the $164 Magliner. The pros, FedEx, UPS guys, beverage/food vendors use Magliner which has a max of 500lbs. Not sure how this one says it can do 1000lbs.
I wouldn't trust this going upstairs with something heavy.
But this is a very good hand truck for most homeowners for light, medium, non commercial use.
For those asking of major differences between the last model and other models, I believe the older model may have had the ability to lock at an angle (45Β°?) to make it easier going up and down stairs with bulky items. Not entirely sure on this feature, but that is about the only thing that I can think of that would improve the functionality.

Is this more akin to furniture dolly or appliance dolly?
Magliner also has a 4 in 1 called gemini sr and jr which I don't like because it makes it bulky. I can fit this in my civic sedan backseat.
It takes a bit of assembly but its simple like ikea furniture. Just follow the video on the amazon page.

It can act like an appliance dolly but not as well as the U-Haul one - the tongue is not as large as the one on a U-Haul appliance dolly and there are no built in straps. Also this will be heavier. And I think the U-Haul one is easier to go up stairs with.
It's invaluable when needed but not used too often. I just used it last week to move 2 large planters with trees in them. Something that would have been impossible without this thing but this thing made it pretty simple.
