Have a 20 year old model, and the more recent iteration from about five years ago. One of her things where quality is still there, and the newer ones have a fold down on the metal lip which is incredibly useful.

Also if you are wondering why the OP posted this early, understand that knowing this is going to go on sale and when can be very useful.

This thing is awesome and at $100 it's a steal. No brainer if you need a hand truck which every homeowner should have.

If they are still built like they were in the past this is a good deal,

Kinda surprised nobody else has mentioned this. I got mine many years back when they got rid of the leaning "assist" mode and replaced it with the folding foot plate. But it seems this current model seems to have both, which is great.

Any recent issues?
The handles and another plastic part is it's Achilles heel.

Check the Amazon reviews for pictures.

When they break, there are no way to replace the part.

Personally, I would buy the $164 Magliner. The pros, FedEx, UPS guys, beverage/food vendors use Magliner which has a max of 500lbs. Not sure how this one says it can do 1000lbs.

I wouldn't trust this going upstairs with something heavy.

But this is a very good hand truck for most homeowners for light, medium, non commercial use.

Did CA try to stick it to you one last time with the exit tax?
Yes, of course. DMV is hassling me too. Vipers.

I'm looking at using this to move a 600 lb fire safe. It would be delivered on my curb side and I would have to bring it inside my house.

Check out the pictures of the handles snapping off on Amazon reviews.

This will not do 800-1000 lbs safely especially going up stairs.

I wouldn't do anything close to 200lbs on this thing

Are the large tire rims plastic or metal on this? Hard to tell in pics and last dolly I had was plastic and they broke.
The wheels on this are actually very good. Most pneumatic wheels go flat/bad but these are good.

These tires have a max load of 400lbs.

Not sure how this dolly is rated 800lbs when the tires are only rated for 400lbs.

How hard is it to add easy-to-use appliance dolly straps to this? Want a cart with those that roll in and out easily but this is a great price
If you're gonna do appliances. This one is too dangerous.

What if you're carrying something heavy and the handle breaks like this

You need this especially if you're doing stairs

Good Dolly overall but be careful with the handle. It's hollow metal tubes and they are already bent at an angle. When moving a refrigerator the handle bent very badly and you can't pry it back up because that will split the metal tube. Just be careful. I replaced my bent handle with some 1/2" galvanized pipe when it broke.
Sounds like a great idea. How did you replace it?

He probably tack welded the pipes to the frame when the cheap hollow handles broke off.

Each tire supports 400 lbs, so they took 400 lbs x 2 tires = 800 lbs.

For $275 Amazon sells the convertible Magline Gemini, but you have to air up the tires.

Some peeps poo poo on harbor freight, but they have the Franklin competitor to the Cosco that sells for $199.99 and has sturdier handles that are less prone to break if you need to move serious appliances around. Keep in mind though Harbor freight has 90 day warranty compared to Costco easy satisfaction warranty.

Costco always had this sale happen every few months. I'm not sure why it got so pumped up this time. Nothing slickdeal about it. It's just a normal sale.
This is the thread of the same deal few months ago (02/03/24 posted by GTinMIA) and it got hardly any reply.

Kirkland Signature is Costco's premier house brand. Costco brand is second tier. This probably isn't safe or good quality
