TLDR: set store to location with new model in stock for pickup.

I have just picked up mine today.
Since no one has posted, this is what seems to be going on.

New model m12 circular saw was released, in order to clear out old inventory, the old saw has a sale (very common)

To keep things simple, they won't keep 2 product pages up soo they linked the new saw to the point to the current saws page which isn't best but there it is, this should change when stores get the new model saw in stock. So if you're store hasn't gotten the updated model, it won't be an easy time getting the new one for old price. So solution: go pick up at store which already has the new saw before this gets fixed.

OLD MODEL: 2530-20
NEW MODEL; 2521-20

Easiest way to visually eyeball it is probably the new one has a black guard instead of grey.

Ordered one for in store pickup. Hopefully they will really get it from the shelf for me and not tell me they can't find them and cancel my order.

After I purchased it at my store, they took the remaining 5 units out of stock. There's no way those 5 units sold within the hour.
Same- went from 5 to OOS as soon as I ordered.

Crossing my fingers it gets filled!

No one else completely turned off by the plastic blade cover? I just returned a 6 1/2 inch M18 for the brushless version because of that. The second I put it in my toolbox I said nope, this isn't going to last

Plastic can take a beating and is a little flexible.

Do I need it? No. But for under a 100 otd, I'll grab one and keep it in the back of my minivan with a couple pieces of 2x4 for breaking down plywood sheets in the parking lot instead of removing 3 child and car seats to fit a full sheet.

I picked one up two days so that I could build a ramp for my shed. I got some pretty decent cuts on one 5.0 charge but not enough to finish the job. For reference, I'm cutting PT 2x6s and using a 5 3/8 Diablo blade because my local store didn't have the Milwaukee one. Decent cutting power but not the strongest I've used. At this price and a DIY homeowner, I wouldn't think 2x about buying again. I dig it. For future jobs that are more taxing or require deeper cuts, I will step up to M18 Fuel. Best of both worlds! 😎

I like the compact size. I already have a 5 1/4" Ryobi brushed with laser line and a older non-HP 7 1/4" Ryobi brushless, plus a really old 5 1/4" Sears C3 and Ryobi circular saw like I need another. I really don't care for the 7 1/4" Ryobi due to how frickin' heavy it is.

Is this better than the Dewalt 4-1/2"? I have both batteries.

The Diablo stuff is much better than Milwaukee.

Would it be the same price if you located it in person?

When I added the saw to my cart, it showed unavailable locally for $159.
For some reason, the saw was listed as an extra tool for $99.
So, I also added the $99 saw to my cart and deleted the $159 item.
Still showed $99 shipped to store.

Decided to pass on this to wait for a battery pairing. This saw will eat up batteries.

I placed an order for store pickup for $99. Just got an email they canceled my order as 'out of stock'.

In for one. I recently tried and returned the gen1, not overly impressed with it's cutting.
I'll give this version a little tryout

Wouldn't let me checkout earlier for delivery and let me switch to in store pickup and was able to place an order. About an hour later I received a cancellation email.
