Be weary this is the 8GB version not the normal 12GB version...

Meh. Not really a slick deal. You can get a new RX 6600 with similar performance that runs at ~70% the power for less. Or, if you're the gambling type, an Intel Arc A750. Just hope Intel loves the same games you do.

The standard version is the 8gb version. This wasn't cut down, it was what was released first.
Incorrect. The 3060 at release was a 12gb card with a 192bit memory interface. The 3060ti was 8gb on release because it had a 256bit memory interface but they didn't want to go up to 16gb of ram with the wider interface. This is a cut down 3060 with a 128bit memory interface so unless this has faster memory I expect the 128bit memory bus to have a noticeable impact on performance, especially if you are trying to push it for higher resolutions. That does appear to be the case. Same memory speed so loosing 1/3 of your memory bandwidth with this card.

You are incorrect sir. The 12Gb came out in 2021 and 8GB cam out in late 2022.

Avoid the 8gb version, at least the 12 gb still has a place to consider vs 4060 with only 8gb ram. This one is pointless release.

Incorrect. The RTX 3060 12GB was released on Feb 25 2021. The 8GB version was released in Oct 2022.
