The one for $139 expands to 24l. The one that expands to 30l is discounted to $225, which I can get from other retailers during the year. Costco had it for $157 earlier in the year. That's the deal I'm looking for.

because it's nice, high quality, carefully thought out, sleek, waterproof, 20L-->30L flexibility, and I have money to spend and at a point in my life where I no longer care to buy cheap shit..there

Edit: As pointed out by others, I mistook this pack for what I bought in the last deal, the 20L-30L Travelpack. The Travelpack is amazing and changed the way I travel!

I believe it's the 20-24l version. I check Slickdeals every day for the Nomatic deal. I clicked through the Costco site, which sends you to Nomatic, and it's the 20-24l. It even says above in the post that it's the smaller one. I'm happy to be proven wrong, and I am going to try again.
