Odd to be calling this a "deal". This has been the regular price for the first 3 months of their unlimited starter package for quite some time now. I signed up for it, must have been about 4 months ago, maybe even a bit further back than that. More like their regular introductory price than a deal.

This deal/option wasn't there when I signed up in late March.

I tried last week to signup for a single line and it was $29. for the month. This is a sweet deal and miles ahead of Visible with their zero c/s service. Never again with Visible. Their email or chat only was was a waste of time.

Actually, you're wrong, you just didn't hit the right page on their site to find this promo. When I saw your comment I decided to check and see exactly when I signed up for it. It was on February 12, 2024. I've been to their site many, many times since, and have always seen this promo advertised. Like I said, you just had to hit the right page for it. They have three or more pages of differently structured 'deals', you have to hit the right one to see this promo of theirs. Also, on some of their deal pages you have to check off how many lines you're using, and if you will be paying by the month or the year -- it's easy to get confused, the prices are all different depending on monthly or yearly, and number of lines.

I saw a guy on Reddit who did all the math on comparisons between Visible and USM. It worked out that if you use under 35gb a month in data USM is cheaper. But if you need more than 35gb a month, Visible actually works out being less money. As for Customer Service with Visible, lol, I don't think I've ever seen one single person with a good thing to say about their CS. Apparently it totally sucks.
USM has good service and the CS is much better than you'll find on most MVNO's. The only thing I didn't care for with them was on plans where you pay them in full up front (like one year plans or the promo this thread advertises) USM wants to hold on to your credit card even though you're fully paid. I didn't feel comfortable with that. Two notices of hacks from T-Mobile, and lots of hassles afterwards, have left me a lot more careful about where my credit info is left. I asked them to let me remove my credit card info after starting a one year plan and paying them in full, they said they couldn't do it. Asked for a refund after two days on the plan, and got it. No business needs to hold your credit card hostage when you've fully paid them and owe them nothing.

You get deprioritized data with the base plan for visible. It made it basically unusable for me in Denver. I'm okay with paying up front for the year, and it works out to be much cheaper for me ($15/mo = $180/yr) because I never use more than 10gb a month.
I am only posting this because I switched from visible to US mobile and have been much happier. Don't sleep on priority data - no other MVNO offers it (I think, could be wrong)

how usm is cheaper? Visible is $275 for unlimited, and usm is $276 for 35 gb. Yes there is $15 plan for usm which is not on visible but that one only has $10Gb which is same for mint mobile. USM is $1 more and its not unlimited.

First of all, the $25/month on Visible is $300 a year, not $275, and its deprioritized data, not priority like it is on USM. The $276 on USM comes to $23/monthly for all priority data. So I would consider that both cheaper and a better deal unless you want all really slow data on Visible. You probably didn't notice on the Visible site that for the lower priced yearly plan it says "unlimited data", for the higher price plan its says "unlimited premium data". There's a difference.

Use a disposable card next time like one from privacy dot com. It's not worth the cash back in my normal cards to hand it over to utility companies that don't have adequate security.

When mentioning my concern over leaving USM my credit card when I was already paid up in full, I saw a few people chime in with privacy.com and also prepaid credit cards as a solution. I did check into both. With privacy.com (unless I misunderstood) you have to give them access information to your bank account, so it's sort of like having a secondary debit card from your bank. With the prepaid ones, there's lots of fees; for example, one for buying the card, one for each transaction, one for loading the card with cash, and you also have to give them your ID info and SS#. I started to feel like all that stuff would accomplish is just trading off one security concern for another, when the real issue was why does USM need to hold on to my credit card for a year when I'm already paid? Over on Reddit, even the CEO seemed to agree with me, but still they haven't fixed it. When they do, I'll go back over there. I liked just about everything else with the company, but the credit card business was a deal breaker for me.
I did the mint 6 month special in January. It is about to run out. Is this one worth it?
I was on Mint for a few years. IMO, US Mobile is far superior. With this you'd get priority data, on Mint I was so deprioritized where I live, it was just awful. Like kilobytes per sec, not megabytes. Just know that after the 3 months your rate on USM will go up to $29 a month, and unlike Mint, USM keeps a credit card and on their Verizon coverage they also get your IMEI. Because of that you can't keep repeating discounts and promos the way a lot of people do with Mint. So, either you're good with 3 months and then moving on, or paying almost double what you start out paying.

If so, is it both Verizon and TMobile, or just on Verizon, and does it require your phone to support specific bands?
Also, I've heard USM customer service is great not only in comparison to other MVNOs, but is better than the major carriers as well.
I may switch to them, but my wife's phone can only use TMobile (mine can use Verizon or TMobile)
