Had this and returned it. It wasn't bad, but after I bought it, I learned that ultrasonic humidifiers should only be used with pure water (like distilled) because they aerosolize the water and everything in it. So if your tap water has high mineral content, as an example, using it here (even boiling first) will mean you're inhaling all of it.

I switched to an evaporative humidifier: slightly higher electric bill, but I can refill it from the faucet.

Bought larger versions last year from Costco and need to return still. They are impossible to clean completely, required a lot of refilling and leaves the white dust everywhere in the house. I purchased the additional filters from the manufacturer plus sticks to help keep the water clean and it didn't help either. Very disappointed and see that Costco didn't bring them back.

I, too, watch a YouTuber that rambles about appliances for hours.

Evaporative are notorious for mold. Had one and trashed it since the filter was hard to keep clean

Agreed, both designs have problems unfortunately, which people are blissfully unaware of.

I chose "clean the filter every week" over "inhale calcium/iron/silica dust and whatever else is in my city's water supply".
