Just a warning on this product - it will crack and break. With regular usage, you may get a few months out of it. The side strap pieces that hook onto the Quest 2 are notoriously brittle and prone to forming cracks. Since this is something you tighten on your face to use, the crack spreads quickly, and stuff like duct tape just isn't strong enough to keep it held together and also secure on your face. There are many, many accounts of people experiencing the same issue with this particular line of headstraps. I bought one AFTER they said they addressed the issue, and mine still cracked in the same place as nearly everybody else's.
AND the battery version is dead and out of stock.........shucks
The battery would have been the only reason to get this. The strap is terrible. Ours broke with light use. Our other quest2 has a bobavr with battery and it's much more comfortable to use and put on. Bought it for $50 on Amazon. Wish I had bought the double battery pack for two headsets.

The price is right, but you've been warned.
Ours broke at one welding spot for the rubber back of head piece after a couple of months. Making tape allows current use, but the bobavr hinged style in our other quest is so much better and has seen triple the usage.
I got to the end of the ordering screen but it wouldn't let me place the order on the elite battery strap. I went to Target to see if I could price match and whatdya know, they have the elite battery strap for $45. Ended up being a couple more bucks with red card compared to this deal. Hope that helps someone else who missed out on the batter strap

2 of my Elite battery Straps broke (launch, and then the replacement one), the 3rd one has been staying strong though (18+ months)
Meta will replace them for free, no return required (usually just the serial # and a photo). It still sucks when you are without one though.
I liked the Elite strap much better than the stock.. I don't know if it STILL does, but the Elite Battery Strap for quest 2 used to come with a hard case for the quest + strap ($60 by itself) so it's a nice freebie. I much prefer the elite strap with battery to the non-battery, for obvious reasons, but it also seems to better offset the weight of the headset and make it more comfortable.
For the battery version, you can plug your USB cable into the elite battery strap to charge BOTH the headset and battery, but there is no passthrough for data, so if you need to use USB C for data, you need to unplug the battery strap cable
Just an FYI. Meta had extended their warranty of the elite strap from 1 year to 2 years. I know mine cracked about 2 months after the warranty ran out and they still replaced it. They will require a bunch of pictures though and they won't want the old one back either.
I will say out of all of them, including the BobaVR one and Kiwi one, the elite strap is the BEST one I've used. That said, I stopped using them after the THIRD one cracked (a known issue with these).
I've been through 4 or 5 different straps.

I agree-- I like this much better than Boba. I guess I will just order a few of these!
Dumb question I'm sure: Can the battery-less version be used for broken parts on the battery version? i.e. if I have a battery version, can I use a 2nd battery-less one to fix it?
