Seems like the "convenience" of these AC's only cause more headaches down the stretch. All these AC's being made the last few years are complete junk and break down after a couple seasons of use. Ive thrown out a handful of these where I work and they all seem to be for the same thing that has nothing to do with the unit actually cooling but rather something with the circuit boards.

yup, these are the ac's made for general electric. The programming board goes bad because they refuse to insulate it. Eventually water or humidity get's into the control panel and shorts it out. GE refuses to send out replacment panels and just tell you to buy a new AC. People have figured out you actually can purchase the panel but it costs $80.

There are video's on youtube about how to bypass the bad programming board, unfortunatly it means the ac will blow full blast and has to be unplugged/replugged when you want to use it.

Its completely insane the number of the AC's that wind up in landfills when they are in working condition

The real deal here is 20%+5% off all fans and A/C units with Circle+Redcard.

I chose a $167 TCL 6000btu (250sq ft) for my 175sq ft bedroom. no app, but remote. the 8000btu has wifi/app for about $210, but it's rated to 350sq ft. too big is not as good with A/C

When I log in to my RedCard/Circle Card account, it still says $332.99?

I just had a window ac die, and we're in the middle of a 105° heat wave. Getting 25% off one of these units that cost hundreds would be *very* helpful! Any ideas why I can't see the discount?
