depends on scaling but i can see a visual difference that in most games i wouldnt care for but for fine text then you will be distracted by lack of clarity

i got a UWFHD and i would determine if you are willing to sacrifice one or the other then i would go for seeing if your gpu have enough vram to not be limited at 1440p otherwise you will be in a upgrade sprial again; overall i enjoy my 32" 1080 after having a 4k and 2k 27"

i will use my 27" on browsers and whatnot but it sometimes is annoying if you are further from your screen that you just simply have high res display that makes stuff smaller and coupled with a smaller screen is a bad combo than just oversimplified of if resolution will matter at a certain screen size; you need to factor in the distance you will be from the screen

i would also say that this isnt much of a deal since i got mine for like $150 from another person local, theres plenty of 1080p monitors that are getting aged out as people want 1440p and 4k but those are still a want rather than a need
