Is this new? Does it "unlink" Delta? Etc
Think of it as a no brainer way to keep an account from expiring

It seems new, but I don't personally know. You probably got the email but the Delta linked account terms changed so the miles are now based on how much you load on a Starbucks Gift Card at a time. I just checked my Delta-Starbucks connection in the Delta app and it shows they're still linked. Hope this helps!

The "rewards" programs like Starbucks have become so dismal that would be about the only incentive to keep them. I lost a load of Disney Movie Rewards points because "no activity" and thus I waste a few minutes every once in a while with those "free 5 points" nonsense to prevent that happening again. And I keep a crummy "no annual fee" Barclays AAdvantage card around to autopay my monthly cable bill as insurance to avoid losing all my miles.

What? Barclay now has a No AF version? I had to close my account during COVID due to no such card to convert to. Interesting.

If you don't yet have a Marriott Bonvoy account, you can ask a current account holder to send you an invite and you'll get a bonus 2,000 points per stay for the first 365 days. If you're wondering, yes, I am a current account holder.
