About this Mixed Reality Game:
  • Grokit is a hand tracking multiplayer mixed reality game aimed at rapid fire interactions. Inspired by the party games of old, players are dropped into bizarre situations where they must evaluate their environment and act in a short amount of time.
  • Play in your own room with mixed reality passthrough or in traditional virtual reality in a variety of handcrafted environments.
  • Grokit is built from the ground up to leverage more of what the new hardware can do. See what's possible with scene understanding, with game objects interacting with your and your friends' rooms and furniture. Fast and smooth hand tracking means no more dealing with controllers.
  • Play your way, with multiple character customization options available for avatars, hats, and watches, as well as a selection of environments and music.
  • Grokit is also an excellent way to introduce your friends to VR and MR because it's easy to pick up, or grok, and the engaging challenges can be enjoyed in short play sessions. Perfect for family gatherings and fun for all ages!

I have not personally played it. The reviews are promising, but what I like the most is the responses from the devs to each of the reviews. People say they want voice chat, so devs respond with what they're working on. It shows the devs care about their game and what people think. I happily paid $3, even just to try it. It'll only get better with further patches.

Yea, I'm not saying this is bad or anything as I have not looked into it yet but more than the price, I'm trying to avoid adding shovelware to my library.

Has anyone played this one? Seems to be a more niche experience compared to the other VR game deals that have recently come out.

Not to sound too cheap, but I've been buying these no question because they're 90% off. This is the first one that's not. May be a cool game but I'll at least read what it's about before pulling the trigger this time.

Trailer looks kinda meh without multiplayer which might be a problem if there is no player base.

Shovelware or not, it looks terrible. I'm passing on it.

Watched a YouTube clip about the gameplay titled

Grokit | FAST PREVIEW GAMEPLAY MECHANICS

Based on that, I'll try it for $3 for my two kids under 10 who are just learning VR. Might get a couple hours out of it, which I consider a deal. A slick deal.

It really gets old all VR gets is these low quality cartoons of games, give us Alyx 2 or more AAA titles.. enough of this kiddie bullshit for a device that requires over $1500 to own.
What device do you mean? The Quest 2 is $200 and the Quest 3 $500. Both are standalone which means you don't require to spend extra on hardware.

Check out gameplay videos for Asgard's Wrath 1 & 2, Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, and The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners 1 & 2. I don't know if it's AAA but Blade and Sorcery finally released v1.0 this weekend and that's endless fun.

Saints & Sinners 2 was buggy on release but they fixed a lot. I actually like the first one more overall. It has more replayability with The Trial mode. I'd try S&S1 and only get the second one if you must have more.

Skydance made the TWD games and they're coming out with a hyped new game called Behemoth.

I'm not a gamer. I used to only play original NES or SNES games and I just bought a Meta Quest 3 a few months back. It is insanely cool and it most the games make you feel like you're actually there.
Population One is my favorite game. You're paired with 2 other teammates with the goal of outlasting 12 - 15 other players (groups of 3) in a Battle Royale Deathmatch. I have to physically force myself to stop playing this game because it's so much fun. (I usually just quit when the headset battery runs out though lol)
