I was just at my local Home Depot (W. Plano, TX) and saw these sprinklers on sale for $4.90/ea (see attached receipt). There was an entire pallet of them. Website says 180 in stock at that store, but the other store near me was OOS so YMMV. Website says $19.97, so check online for inventory then maybe call/visit the store.

Don't use if you have hard water. Won't last more than a month.

These have flexible nozzles so they're pretty tolerant of hard water. What's great about this type of sprinkler is how precisely adjustable it is.

Every one of these I've owned had the nozzle adjuster tabs break off at some point. Bad design.

They're tolerant for a year and that's it. I'm in OP's area and am buying new ones to replace the ones that only have three barely functioning holes, even after vinegar and clr soaks.

Anyone find sprinklers that can survive hard water?

Same Same. I like the style though and bought one on Amazon for $40 that has buttons to adjust width instead of the tabs. If it lasts more than a year I'll consider it a win.

We have hard water but I've never had one clog. The issue I've faced with these is the plastic adjustment tabs get brittle when left out in the blistering Texas sun for months. If I ever encounter clogging in the future, I would likely soak in a bag of vinegar—if the bag isn't large enough, then I would flip the unit and soak each side. I'd imagine hard water issue wouldn't be unique to just this sprinkler. I've had hard water deposits on my hose end sprayers which I also remediate with a vinegar soak.

I tend to be lazy and leave them out to fry—especially since putting them on a timer. I've owned 3 since 2019–one completely fell apart after 2 years. The nozzles began to break off. The other two are still going strong but the adjustment tabs are broken. I don't expect these to be a permanent solution, but rather to serve as means to keep seeds damp to germinate in areas where I don't have in-ground irrigation, or until I can get myself to spend the money to add a zone.

My water is right at 250 TDS and I'm on my second year with these. Running them 4x/day on a timer right now with the high temps we're seeing and functioning fine.

I just purchased two of them. Paid full price. HD getting rid of these because they stocked up on their Husky brand. Set them up with timers on our herbs and front lawn plants. Going on vacation for two weeks. We set things up and dialed in the sprinklers precisely. The sprinklers work well. Will they last? Good question. I think so. Gotta check on stuff to make sure everything works well. If things work out and these timers do what they claim, I'll be pleased. As far as the sprinkler goes - yeah - it's a nice one.
