I don't think it is YMMV, I see the same price across multiple store locations in CA. Checked in bay area. You may cross validate at instacart.

Watch out Google will completely abandon a product and leave you with a set of paperweights (nest secure line)

I bought these when they were first released and ended up returning them. They had worse speed and coverage than my existing Xfinity single router. They may have had firmware improvements and fixes since, but I wouldn't touch them again.

I had Google's last mesh wireless package and you were basically locked out of most router settings. You couldn't even separate the 2.4 band into a different network so it made setting up smart devices that require that band extremely challenging.

Returned mine to costco. Ended up using my verizon router over this due to extremely poor connectivity and coverage.

One thing is clear... Google can do great software but meh hardware... and unfortunately, their nest wifi falls at the meh hardware side...

Most of the Google hardwares including their entire WiFi lineup are trash (overpriced and underdelivered in terms of both performance and functionality).

I see Google Routers get a lot of hate and just wanted to throw my personal experience in with them. I have the previous Nest Routers (non-pro) and I've loved the multiple years I've had with them. That being said, there are some weird things with Googles routers that I think the negative opinions are justified. The main one as someone said above was the 2 bands not being able to be separated. Google claims this is to "provide a smart way of connecting" but it makes certain devices unable to connect so I had to buy an extender and trick my devices into thinking it was the nest router to get them connected. Other than that, my experience has been great and I have a super reliable mesh network with everything I could want. That being said, there's for sure better options out there but catching these on a sale I would recommend them for sure.

Do these allow normal config via browser access or do they impose a stupid app like TP LINK?

Nothing but problems, had to reboot daily. Replaced them with TP-Link and haven't looked back
