sounds like i'm still saving 5% which is more than many restaurants offer.
doordash is delivery as a service. they charge the restaurants 15-20% of the sale, which is usually passed along to you in the menu price. consider it a 'lazy-person-who-doesnt-want-to-get-off-their-ass-and-pickup-their-own-food' fee. but many of these restaurants wouldn't be offering their own delivery services otherwise, so it's really a win/win for those who value having options when it comes to food at their doorstep.
if you don't like the service, there's really no reason for you to come to the threads about that service. just like there's no reason for you to be looking at private jets, complaining about how expensive they are when you know your cheap ass is going to be flying economy on spirit airlines.
The only reason I use DoorDash is for the monthly Sapphire Reserve credit and ONLY for PICK UP. It is frightening when you do the math and realize how much cost a delivery adds to your bottom line. Even with a free DashPass membership, I would never have it delivered unless it's a special occasion or emergency.
Consider this a PSA for everyone to double check how much this is really costing you. Always compare prices to the restaurant website menu as well. Especially for places you frequent.
Also the fact 1 in 4 Dashers admit to tampering with food at some point!

The fact that doordash won't let you pay with anything other than a loaded gift card when you still have a balance a infuriating
Couple this with the worst customer service known to man , I only order pickup. They still owe me $82 they never returned
Also to whoever downvoted me I guess my point is that this promo will not help you if you have any gift card loaded. They won't let you pay with anything other than a gift card if it's loaded.
Really dislike this company. Have had much better experience with Uber eats.

What type of cotton candy and bubblegum world do you think you live in trying to surpress people's opinions? This is a deal forum. Therefore the purpose of this site is for 2 things: posting deals and your opinions of deals. Doordash inherently isn't a deal since the food is marked up, and the rediculous service fees you have to pay for them to middleman the food. Food prices are generally much cheaper if order delivery directly from the store, This deal is a bad deal and they have the right to say so.

actually, this is a great deal if you really want to get into it. there are some (albeit very few) restaurants that don't markup their pricing on doordash. pair that with a pickup order at a restaurant you drive by on the way home and you're getting the full 25% off regular price for your order. and as previously mentioned, even with the marked up pricing you can still save a few percent on your pickup orders. no, this isn't a free meal, but for those who were going to spend that money anyway, this is a savings.
every penny adds up if you're wise enough to utilize them. if there was a "1% off anything on Amazon" deal posted here limited to 1,000 redemptions, it would be over within 15 minutes.
