As per the in-depth review from Notebookcheck, below are the stats: -
Battery Runtime

Idle (without WLAN, min brightness) 8h 48min
WiFi Websurfing (Edge) 5h 52min
WiFi Websurfing max. Brightness (Edge) 5h 00min
Load (maximum brightness) 1h 59min

I would assume that for normal day-to-day mix usage with around 250-nits brightness at 60Hz, you would get around 6 to 7 hours at max. It does not achieve excellent result compared to some other Windows Consumer tablets but pretty good for such a small 51 WHr battery and a 14" 1600P screen.

YO, EVERYONE, CHEAPER DEAL.
This takes about 30 days to ship (just got mine). You can get it from Newegg for $999 in a few days, and it comes with the protection of having purchased from a real US company and not shipping from HK with $30+ in foreign transaction fees. After fees, the Newegg deal is $20 cheaper.

there is no other device on the market in this form factor with specs anywhere close to this, so i dont think it can be a rebrand
Lenovo has made the x1 tablets for some time

i have the ThinkPad X12 Gen 1 Detachable Intel (12″).. smaller screen and came with Intel Core i7-1160G7 @ 1.20GHz 2 years ago.
Got it from a tip on here with the i7 for $770 2 years ago.

So yes the ryzen 8840u is exciting. Thing about the lenovo, they are imho durable.

I had the thinkpad detachable tablet from 3 generations before the one i have and it came with a a propriety dock. Worked great as a desktop replacment for what i did in a hospital. Go to bedside with the chart and return to my desk and it drove 2 monitors.

Kudos to minisforum. We shall see with durability.

Where's the deal? And at this spec.

Didn't have the budget for it before. Missed the bundle with the Pen and other kit at this price.
Just got it and a $20 MPP pen from Amazon noname brand. Works fine. The screen protector is very beefy and hard to apply, and probably makes the pen usage worse, but I don't plan on using that much anyway.

Thank you for the alt, I really do honestly appreciate it, just at this point newegg has sullied its name to the point that I'd take miniforums shipping any random way as preferable. In any event not sure if they really take 30 days to ship as their website seems pretty standard (and even collects New York Sales Tax). Can anyone else chime in with ship times?

I ordered 5/24 and got it 6/20. You can only pay with a credit card and mine had the $30 foreign transaction fee. If you use Newegg you will find it easier to dispute with Paypal and get potentially better buyer protection, and an offer for a reasonably priced extra warranty (if you want).
There are a couple stories out there of magnets installed wrong in the keyboard etc. and getting a replacement or refund from an HK company where nobody speaks English and shipping is around a month is not going to be a fun process.
They included a friendly letter with it complimenting my purchase, and the English was so bad I kept the card because it was funny. It was always dodgy getting from HK, but Newegg is just basically a reseller that allows for things to go faster if there's a problem.

I got it for $1100 and there's also zero price protection with minisforum. If I'd bought with Newegg I could probably get a price difference or even rebuy and return the new one as the old to keep just the lower price. That said, I really like it so far, and think it's easily worth $1100.

sorry i should have specified. there are more than a few surface clones, but none of them had specs enough to game on. this is basically a larger ROG ally / Legion Go / GPD win that i can replace my portable gaming device for, and as such, there is no other device in this category

Yeah, but be fair, one is made by Microsoft and one is made by......uh, these guys. So if you're a spec chaser, maybe it's good, but if you like accessories and support, or quality batteries, maybe not

TIL that MInisforum makes tablets. Are they OEM or do they rebrand?
They make their own Motherboards & Bios as far as I know, the tablet chassis is most likely an OEM of some kind

A better product than what Microsoft has been releasing in years now, but luckily Microsoft has finally moved onto a snapdragon SOC Surface product. But this is the next best thing after that

Just be prepared for lack luster customer support, whether that's through their official discord or through a support ticket. The honeymoon phase of their 1st of the kind release will eventually end, and like most of their other products on the market, you'll get the normal support experience. Whether that's acceptable to you or not is either going to be based on your personal experience or comparative experiences with similar OEMs. Personally, I've returned or sold all of my Minisforum equipment to avoid just having to deal with their support for any unforeseen issues whether it be warranty or software/firmware otherwise.

This isn't a ODM rebrand, because no one else uses AMD for a tablet. I have this tablet and I have to say it's freaking awesome but the speakers are crap though. I'm playing Modern Warfare at 1080 p with balance settings and i'm getting average 75 fps.
