I would stick with whatever you have (most likely a mobile phone).
These are expensive cameras and lenses, and you should have a minimum level of understanding of the basics of photography before dropping serious coin on them. They aren't magical "take perfect picture" machines -- though there are automatic modes, if you don't know what you're doing, you'll probably get worse results than from one's mobile phone.
I'm not trying to gatekeep them or exclude anyone from learning -- but it'd be a dang shame for someone to drop hundreds if not thousands of dollars, and be disappointed with the end results only because they didn't take the time to understand what they were buying.
Been keeping a couple lenses in my cart hoping for a good sale. Picked up the rf 50mm 1.8 and the rfs 10-18mm. I was hoping the rf 35mm 1.8 would drop in price, but its still the same as the last few weeks. Thanks OP!

Currently scheduled to rent a RF100-500mm for 30 days for $330 in June. Tempted to buy this refurb instead.. Really want a 200-800 but nowhere to be found close to retail and with USA warranty.
Was going to get a 50mm 1.4 as a backup to mine, but I'll hold out for the RF 24-70. Maybe I'll get one for xmas. I love the 50mm, but sometimes I want to take a group shot and don't want to back up 20 feet to do so!
