Have a Meta Quest 2 and love it. Not sure the 3 is worth the upgrade. The pass through tech is cool, but I haven't seen anything that uses it to justify upgrading. And at $200 now, the Meta Quest 2 is so much value presuming you have a gaming PC. (Or stick to porn). 😂
Bought my wife the Ray-Ban glasses for her birthday. She loves them. Doesn't seem to use Meta's version of Alexa, but they are solid sunglasses and solid Bluetooth speakers for playing music or making phone calls.

Read the pancake lenses are awesome and pass through is good for some games like Thrill of the Fight so you can see your surroundings.
I'm debating buying for nieces/nephews to play, but already have a PC set-up for old games via emulator. Now wondering if Quest 2 makes sense for them because surely it won't depreciate faster than the Quest 3 (could buy and have it lose like $50 in a year or two then switch to Quest 3). Do you think buying used version is good? Is there a face guard/material you can buy to change out so old sweat and whatnot is removed?
This seems like a great deal and the sunglasses seem like they'd go for minimum of $250-275 on eBay with likelier sell point around $280-300 bringing price with taxes to about $425 (not sure if game comes with it, but it seems like it'd beat the Costco deal with the added sales step).
Glasses have increased to 3min recording time now.
Honestly that actually makes them worth considering now… is the limit based on hardware limitations or is there a chance to possibly expand recording time even longer in the future without having to upgrade glasses again?

I'm trying to grab the Quest 3 for $450 is a challenge since I couldn't get the Costco deal.
Glasses are $329 and the recording limit is 60 seconds
