I do want to add this from their FAQ for those that don't want the service to auto-renew:
Disappointing mystery reveal 😞

The point is there's no way to prevent it from auto renewing at the end. It also states they don't refund lol. This was a scummy "gift" to top off the garbage Walmart + week. Self cancellation should have been available immediately.

Don't use the gift then.contact Walmart and remove it from your account. No one is forcing you to use W+ or P+.

The gift is worth $40. All you have to do is remember to cancel.

The sense of entitlement in this thread is ridiculous

You are missing the point. They don't let you know any of this until after you claim it. It's literally a trap, they honey dicked everyone. Hey, here's this for free just don't forget to cancel it otherwise we will charge you and there's no refunds. You sound like a shill. The lack of sense is sad.

well I don't remember approving it but I seem to have it now. Maybe I'll actually watch it now with Showtime and live local CBS. Marked it on my calendar and there is a lot of fine print in the terms.

Update:

At the end of your offer period, your subscription to the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan will auto-renew at the above listed amount, unless you cancel the updated plan. If the renewal date does not match your existing Walmart+ billing cycle, your 1st renewal will be a prorated fee to match your billing cycle with your Walmart+ billing cycle, and thereafter your subscription will auto-renew at the above listed amount. You can manage or cancel your Paramount+ plan through your Walmart+ account or by calling 1-800-WALMART. Self-cancellation isn't an option currently, but it will be available before the date of your auto-renewal. Cancel prior to the renewal date to avoid future charges. No refunds on any plan. See full terms.

I need some help. I have several Paramount+ accounts and I can't figure out which one is associated with my Walmart+ account. I signed up for the 6 month promo but each account I login to is not active. I just got a message that one of my accounts expired and I am not sure if that was a glitch in the W+ promo, or my other acct I used for the AMEX promo

Finally, I was able to reregister my account

Walmart and Paramount plus with showtime has now disabled my Atmos because I have been using it. I now only get stereo on my movies that usually get Atmos. I got an email from Walmart wanting me to downgrade my plan. It was fun while it lasted. Never had thought they pulled the rug under me.

My Walmart+ expired because my banks flagged the auto renew transactions as fraud, and after renewing manually I no longer have access to Showtime on my Paramount+. I assume there's no way to get the free trial back?

Ok, now that we are getting closer to renewal, next month has anyone figured the best way to downgrade? If you downgrade now I assume you loose the premium benefit immediately

Yes, you lose the premium benefit immediately if you downgrade. Otherwise you get it for 6 months from your upgrade date, so downgrade the day before the 6-month mark to get the maximum time. (If you signed up on June 23, cancel on December 22.)

You may be able to downgrade by using this link: https://www.walmart.com/plus/canc...=STREAMING

Or from the desktop website, log in, click Account at the top-right, click Walmart+, look under Keep saving with these benefits, click the expansion arrow to the right of Paramount+ with SHOWTIME, click Manage Plan, click Cancel my Paramount+ with SHOWTIME promotional plan, and click Cancel my plan. Even though they call it cancelling, the cancellation page says that you keep the Essential plan, so it's just a downgrade.

Thanks for this, I thought I had to cancel it by Dec, but I went to find my email, and its
Next renewal:
12/21/24, auto-renews annually"

So I set a reminder to cancel and scheduled a forwarded gmail reminder for 12/20 with that cancel link.

I am not sure about going through Walmart but I have noticed with free trials with Paramount+ directly its always best to downgrade at least 48 hours prior

So I went to downgrade and I am getting error. See screenshot attached

I wonder if it is because my membership is through One Pass now. I am curious to take the risk for $5.49 and see what happens

One Pass Select is a gym membership through United Health Care that allows you to go to multiple gym chains . Its $30 a month for my level though they are jacking it to $35 for 2025. It includes Walmart Plus.

I just got this email:

After the promotional period ends, you will be charged the above pro-rated payment. Your plan will then auto-renew at $5.49 plus applicable taxes on a Monthly basis on the same date as your Walmart+ base plan. You can cancel your Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan at any time. If you need to manage or cancel your Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan, just follow these steps:

At this rate, I think I'll keep it as the regular rate is $13

I got the same email.. gotta say that A) that rate is certainly better than any other available rate other than possibly an ANNUAL during some promo period and B) while only 7 days out from the renewal, it's still a pretty decent heads up email with clear steps to either verify, or cancel. So not too shabby.
