Thank you, I've been waiting for a Quicken deal. The digital version says new subscribers only. I'm hoping the physical version comes with a code that I can enter to extend my existing subscription.

Typically, the new subscriber versions cannot be used to renew a subscription. Newegg has the key code ones that don't say that from time to time; I buy one in advance when it's on a good sale (I find it either through here or from Newegg emails), and I hold it until it runs out. I don't add it in advance; this way I add it when I use it, which is not every day, so I stretch it out more than a year.

$36? Still waiting to see if I can snag it for under $30 for renewal.

I read the title as Chicken Classic Deluxe. Sounds like a sandwich...

Review on the BestBuy site confirms this isn't only for new subscribers:
It was important that the product description for what I bought did not say "for new users" (others do)... I did succesfully upgrade my subscription for one more year simply by opening the existing version on my PC and, at the top where it said my membership had expired, I clicked on "Activate". This took me through the steps to enter the one-time-use activation code that came on a piece of cardboard inside the box. After I entered the code, I received a green check mark, I clicked on "Activate Membership" and all seems to be working.

Hey, quicken for Mac users, quick question here: is the Premier version worth upgrading to? I recently added my retirement plans to Quicken Deluxe and wondered if the Premier would give me extra features. Tyia

The key is "on a piece of cardboard inside the box". I see the post to which I replied specifically said the digital version. It's dumb... you MUST get a physical box that has nothing of use but that slip, in order to renew, whereas new subscribers can just get the digital version. I mean, both can then download the software (renewers don't need to, they already have it and it updates often). But if the deal was only digital, it's first time only. Generally Newegg has only one flavor on sale at a time (maybe not always); guess BestBuy had both.

Would this version work for an existing subscriber if one:
  1. backed up the quicken database
  2. uninstalled the existing quicken program
  3. obtained a new email account
  4. installed quicken
  5. registered as a new subscriber with the new email account
  6. added the backed up quicken database

There is an option to sync your data to the cloud for your phone. If you do not do that then it is stored locally only.
